Pink Orchid-Painting

Today I wanted to do a watercolor flower painting. My goal was to see if I could finish it in one hour. Well, it ended up taking 2 hours but I think it turned out looking nice. It is a small painting only 6x4 on 5.5 x 9 watercolor paper. I scanned it and made it into printable note cards, birthday card, thank you card, stationary and envelope set. It is on sale at my etsy shop. I also ordered some more watercolor paper yesterday so more floral painting are planned in the very near future.

I would like to thank Doris at romanticrosesinwatercolor.blogspot.com for awarding me A Passion for Painting Award this week. Doris paints the most beautiful roses in the world! You really must check out her blog.

Dancing Sprite Book

Happy Valentine's Day! I was trying to have this project finished by today as a Valentine's Day surprise for my children but it is not done yet. Instead for Valentine's presents I sewed them some cute little stuffed bears to play with. I made three colors. They named the blue one Blueberry, the yellow is named Banana and the purple one is called Purple Grape. I have a pattern for the bears to download as a pdf file. E-mail me for the pattern. www.MyArtByLynnette.biz

I wrote the little story about a Dancing Sprite. I am making all the pages in Illustrator. My first sketch of the little sprite was drawn in my sketch book and scanned. I don't think the sprite is cute enough, but I'm still trying to decide how to make her cuter. I want her to have dark hair and medium dark skin tone. So far I have 6 pages finished out of 10.

Honey Bee

I had this design for a honey bee in my sketch book for some time. This little honey bee is just buzzing with excitement to be delivered to your sweetie for Valentine's Day. This is a design for a 5 x7 or 4x6 custom photo card that is personalized so you can print them off at home. Just e-mail me your photo and how you want the card to read. The same design can also be used for Birthday Party invitations, Baby Shower Invitations, Bridal Showers, or Birth Announcements. www.MyArtByLynnette.biz

I also made this little bumble bee that was inspired from a vintage jewelery pin that I saw. A happy little bee delivering hearts to all your honeys.

It's a Cupcake Party!

For Valentine's Day one year it was my turn to bring the treats to the 4-H meeting. My mom, sister and I baked and decorated the most beautiful treats. We mixed pink and red frosting that we spread on so carefully. I was so proud. They looked just like the ones you buy from the bakery.

Have your own Cupcake Party without any frosting mess. Plus they are all calorie free. You have Note Cards, Party Invitations, Valentine's Cards, Stationary and Note Pads to enjoy. These happy cupcakes would be perfect for your next party or just for writing a shopping list on the note pad.

Christmas Designs

Today I finished the Happy Santa design, at the top for stationary, note cards and gift tags. I am still trying to make one design per day and post them at the etsy shop.

We have also started doing more exercise together as a family. Today we went outside and jumped rope and worked at doing pull-ups. My muscles are sore but it is good. I want to get back to the shape I was before the babies were born.

It is a nice sunny day in Colorado today and not too cold.

Saw Barack Obama today, Made My First Sale!

Today we left the comfort of the mountains at over 6ooo ft and went to the lowlands of Pueblo, Colorado 4000 ft to listen to a speech by Michelle and Barack Obama. It was a sunny, warm, beautiful fall day. Perfect for a nice drive. There were thousands of people that came to see the next president. We were so far back in the croud that we could not see him except for a small figure on the stage. in the photo the stage has the USA and Colorado Flags. Only 3 more days and the new president will be decided. What a relief that will be to end all the political junk mail that we have been getting in the last weeks. We already went and voted on Thursday. The line was crazy as it took 2.5 hours to vote.

I did some drawings in the car for some new holiday illustrations for the stationary sets. I drew a gingerbread man, gingerbread lady, cupcake, birthday cake, bell and a holiday teddy bear. Now I just have to get them drawn on the computer.

The biggest excitement of the day for me was that I sold 4 printable stationary sets! It was my first sale of the illustrations that I started to make this week. Also It was my first sale on www.etsy.com I want to make at least one sale every day. I am already planning the house that we will build with the money.

Best wishes,
Lynnette
